Wendy, Jackson, and I landed in a 10 degree chilly Omaha night that was the coldest we had ever been.   A special highlight for me was revisiting the Union Pacific Harriman Dispatching Center, the nerve center for the entire Union Pacific rail system. As a former in-house counsel for Union Pacific, it was a nostalgic reunion with my past and a firsthand look at the inner workings of the railroad industry. Our journey continued to Lincoln, Nebraska, home to the unique unicameral legislature among the 50 states. The State Capitol's impressive architecture and a tour provided insights into Nebraska's legislative process. A visit to the Supreme Court chambers added another layer, offering firsthand glimpses into Nebraska's highest court and its judicial system.
